The Communications Analyst (CA) role is the cornerstone of efficient and effective communications for EL Education. The CA has a talent for designing operations and leveraging systems and software in innovative ways to reach our communications goals. The CA is an experienced content manager who is excited about publishing a high volume of communications across multiple channels, empowering EL Education to reach and inspire diverse target audiences with timely, accurate, relevant, accessible messages. They are organized, data-driven, and detail-oriented. The CA reports to the Associate Director of Communications and is a member of the Communications and Marketing Team.




Publishing Content

  • Scheduling and publishing a high volume of content across all social media platforms, including: approximately 3 tweets per day, 1 Facebook post per day, and approximately 3 posts per week on the EL Education LinkedIn and Instagram accounts.
  • Ensuring content is optimized for maximum engagement across all social media platforms.
  • Designing, building, and sending email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp or other marketing automation software.
  • Designing and building EL Education’s monthly external newsletter and internal Circle Up newsletter, drawing from existing content.
  • Updating content across the EL Education website and creating new web pages using our content management system.
  • Updating content across EL Education’s suite of print collateral, including flyers and brochures.
  • Copy editing to ensure published content is free from typos and grammatical errors.

Media Monitoring

  • Following, liking, commenting on, sharing, and retweeting social media content in EL Education’s mentions and from relevant influencer accounts.
  • Monitoring social media for partner needs and feedback, and escalating comments that require technical support or crisis response.
  • Monitoring media mentions and email inbox, escalating mentions and feedback that require a response.

Analytics and Tracking

  • Collecting, analyzing, and reporting data on audience growth, engagement, and sentiment across web, social media, and email.
  • Empowering the team to understand communications insights and leverage them to meet goals and improve communications.
  • Conducting A/B testing and optimizing content based on results.
  • Maintaining the EL Education communications calendar and social media queue by tracking when communications are completed.

List Management

  • Uploading, segmenting, and maintaining contact lists in Mailchimp and other CRM databases.
  • Maintaining journalist contact lists in Meltwater media database.
